Help - Not vibrating anymore!!

So everything was working fine until a few days ago and now it seems that even though I have it in vibrate mode and the little "vibrate phone icon" is at the top of the screen the phone does not vibrate!! This really sucks because now I'm missing TONS of calls at work. I took it to VZW yesterday and they had no idea what they were doing. They wanted to sell me a new phone and said they would upgrade me early. Problem with that is I was going to get the Qm9 but it's $250 in the store and $100 on the website!! Screw that, I'll wait two months for the HTC Touch!!

Things I've tried:
-turn on/off
- remove battery for about a minute
- turn the silent profile on/off/on

This really sucks. I'm hoping you guys can help me out and get this working at least until April when I can upgrade and get the new XV6900 (HTC Touch)!!

did they even check the vibrate motor? They can wear out or brake

The default on my phone for silent profile is silent (no ring or vibrate). The meeting profile is vibrate. If you go into Profile in Settings, you can see what the ringer type is. Highlight the profile and press Menu and Edit. You can change the ringer type to fit your needs.

She pulled out the battery and put it back in, turned it on/off, and called it a few times. I didn't have much confidence in her since she didn't even know how to turn the vibrate on.

if you have it set correctly in the profile, that would be a easy thing for them to check.

have you installed any alarm/calander apps lately?

Yeah I edited the silent profile so the rigger type was vibrate. I just tried it again and even though the vibrate icon shows on the home screen it doesn't vibrate!!

EDIT: I just switched it to meeting and IT WORKS!! Seriously wtf?? I hope it continues working and I guess I just won't use my edited silent profile and instead just use meeting and normal. This was too weird.

At least now this phone will hold me over until the XV6900 comes out!!
