Default Help! new moto user

I just bought my motorola q on ebay, from a saint. He has answered a zillion questions for me. But here is my dilema. I live in a small town with a rather weak cellular signal. I can't get my battery to charge. The only thing I can think of is it has such a weak signal here. I have moved it to the front of the house, but there is only one bar.

Any suggestions?

Mel

weak cell signal and getting your battery to charge shouldn't be related . . . but welcome to the boards . . . salut, cento anni.

Actually a weak/no signal and the battery are kind of related. If the signal keeps fading, the phone works a bit harder to find another signal.. thus using more battery juice. it's not much, mind you, but the more the signal drops, the more often the phone tries.. it's happened to me many times.. in walmart for some strange reason The best advice I can give you is try getting one of those cell phone 'antennae boosters'.. they may not work to the potential the infomercials say, but it does give you a little boost

cheers

you can try to turn off the phone and try to charge it....or turn it off and then back on and give the charge a try. i remember when i first got my phone it wounldnt charge. i turned it off and back on by removing the battery and bam it just started charging....
