Having First names first

Is there a way of having the first name first and last name second for your contacts.


First name Last name instead of Last name, First name

Yeah, you could do that, or you could type the info in backwards and hold your Q upside down and read the screen through a mirror....


Perhaps a more elegant approach would be :for each contact, scroll down almost to the bottom of the contact screen, past all that stuff you'll probably never fill in and select "File As" and select the filing format you want....

yes, it is possible with a little program called Contact Changer, you can find it here: http://www.shubaroo.com/index.php?module=contact

I just my Q last week and had the same problem with entering in names and numbers into my Contact list. There is a way on the Q when entering the information to make the First name appear first and last name last. (First / Last Names) You dont need any software for this. Just a feature in the Q it self.

When you go to add a new contact to your list, fill in the first name field, and then the last name field. Scroll down to the phone number fields and fill in the ones you want. From there, continue to scroll down. Scroll down to you see "File As" at this point you can make a choice between Last name first or first name first. Click done, and when you go into Contacts it will appear with first and last name.

I hope this information works out for you. I'm new to the Q as well and have been playing with it all weekend. I notice that little features and tips like that Motorola failed to included them into the user manual. Lots of helpful hints on this website.
