Default Goodlink Question

I am a noobie to these forums, my company uses goodlink software with Q's. My question is do you lose any functionality or features when running goodlink? I see so many cool things that can be done on the Q in these forums.

Thanks in advance

I didn't if there were things that wouldn't work when using goodlink.

I am an old school Hartford Whalers fan...

Yes no real problems with the functionality, but I did notice that it does bog the phone down a lot.

Phone works better than the treo700w with Good. You'll notice a difference if you disable Good (things just work better). I had trouble dialing with Good on, no trouble when I turned it off. But overall it's a great combo.

An add-on question to this topic - my IT is telling me that Good is complaining that I did not sign up for some "Good" Service plan with Verizon. Most everyone at my job had their Good devices deployed via Sprint - I stuck with Verizon so I did not have to carry around two devices. Good is saying that I'm avoiding some sort of charge since I'm a Verizon customer.

Does anyone know what they are talking about? I've checked w/ Verizon before and they said I didn't need a special plan.

Addenum: Apparently I need something called a "Good Data Plan" from Verizon. I can't find anyone there that knows that that is. Does anyone have a contact or some other way I can get this without having to spend a whole day on the phone? Thanks!!

Since Good no longer sells its own licenses, they need to be purchased through your provider. Basically all you are doing is purchasing the CAL and paying the monthly fee to retain the Good service.

Unfortunately sitting on the phone is about all you can do to get it set up on your plan.
