gmail password over & over again - Motorola Q Forum

i did try & search this. i came up w/ a similar problem but no real answer. i created a new account with Gmail on my Q. i set it up using the auto settings process. now when i go into my msgs & select my Gmail account it asks for my pw over & over again. i have never used this account before so im not to familiar with it.
i tried to delete & resetup this account a few times & everytime is the same result.
i checked my pw for capitals to make sure. i checked both server settings & still nothing.
any ideas would be great...

if its a new account did u remember to enable your gmail account for popor imap access?

no, i dont think i did. i jus tried & dont think i can frm my Q. i dont hav a home PC so somethings are hard for me to do.
can you access that feature from the Q?
could you mabey send me a link to that settings page in Gmail?

yes i have this problem 2 i can never get my gmail every time i put my pass in it trys to sign in them askes for my pass again

Try this from your Q's web browser:

http://mail.google.com/mail/#settings

You will probably need to log into your account. If you can access this page, click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP and enable POP or IMAP access there. If this link doesn't work, just click on Settings after you log in.

thank you for the link but after playin with it for an hour i figured it out. i went to my google search page a went to the bottom of the page and switched from mobile version to the HTML version. after i did that i had so many more options on the pages i opened. i then saw the settings options at the top of the page. i did go to settings and enable POP. sence then i havnt had a problem.
hope this little workaround kind of thing helps someone else in the future. i do have POP instead of IMAP if you were wondering.

Darn it txt..I was just coming to post that! I am glad you found it on your own. You get alot more view on the HTML version...just like the regular browser version.
