Gmail mails not deleting. - Motorola Q Forum

I have Gmail setup with outlook on my phone using IMAP. Everything worked fine for a few months but now every time i delete a mail it comes back on the next send/receive, until i delete it from the gmail website. What could be causing this??

Not sure, but check g-mail settings on PC. Is there a way to leave/remove mail from server?

I have seen no such option. I surely dont wanna remove all mail ahha. I'm not pop3'ing it.

In the email settings on your Q, there should be a setting to delete messages off the server when you delete them on your Q.

Not on IMAP. Thats a POP3 setting.

I had this same problem. I deleted the account and then re-created it and that seemed to fix it.

It's on IMAP as well. On the e-mail set-up page in settings for your Gmail account on your Q where you specify the frequency of send/receive and what time period to download and sync messages for, there's a link for Advanced Settings. On that screen, there's a setting for "When deleting messages:" where you can select "Delete from server".
