Gmail disappears - Motorola Q Forum

I did a search and saw some others with the same question but I did not find an answer. If I don't read my gmail quickly after it notifies me then it disappears from the Q. It is still in Gmail if I log in but gone from my Q.

Any help would be great.

Do you have multiple accounts??? Maybe its a counting issue...I have not noticed the issue, but then again I never have really paid attention. I will keep an eye on it!

GMail's POP implementation stinks. The best way around this is to open up another free email account elsewhere, forward emails to that and have outlook check that instead.

I get a notification that I have mail. If I don't read it within 15 minutes or so it disapears (the notification) If I go into the gmail it isn't there either. I can log into gmail from a computer and it is still there in the inbox as unread. I don't understand it. There has to be a setting somewhere that I am missing. It doesn't seem right to need to set up 18 forwards to make it work. I thought gmail was great for the q?

any help would be great.

GMAIL's pop does not sync, it supports download of new email. So everytime you sync, it will only download the new email and it will delete the old mail (already downloaded) from the Q. There is a lot of debate on the issue, but it seems to be an issue with GMail's pop. The only way around it is to download less so that you have more time to read them.

I have not hit it from the Q, but it may work.
