Getting GPS and TV working on my Q... - Motorola Q Forum

Hey ever1 i just finished buy the $25/month unlimited data plan from sprint an I dont know where i need to go to get the gps working on my phone or Tv for that madder. Do i have to go into the browser an download an app or what ?
Any help would be most appreciated.

for gps to work you need a bluetooth gps receiver and any map program (microsoft live, google maps, etc.)
for tv there are a few options...search the forum for orb or slingbox

what he ^ said and don't get HandiTV, not worth it.

and keep in mind for Orb you have to have a compatible tv tuner & permanent internet connection at home.

Orb is the greatest. If you happen to have a Media Center PC set up, you have what you need already. Otherwise, all that's really required to add is a TV tuner card.

I assume you are with sprint... down grade your data plan immediatly since you at paying an extra $10 a month for nothing.

Dude. I work for Sprint Retention. The Q doesn't have immediate availability for picture mail and video mail, doesn't have Sprint TV and doesn't have Sprint Music store. Why in God's name are you paying $25 a month for your internet? Quickly dial *2 right now on your Q and reduce to the $15 a month plan. It's unlimited data without all the frills and fluff that your Q can't do anyway.
