freezing?

hey everyone, im borderline between getting a q or a blackberry...does windows really freeze up as much as people say?, what about battery life, is it a must to get the extended battery? and how about stability, everyone says how rock solid blackberrys are, can anyone comment on this? also, what about the activesync glitchs?

I'm not sure if this helps, but my Uncle has a blackberry and says its not a fantastic phone for calls.

Once you get to know the Q it's an awesome phone.
