Hi All,

I bought a Q9M and a 4 GB card. I put the card in the phone, it showed up when I explored the phone. I have had no success trying to put music on it.

Verizon sold e a card, but no reader. Motorola customer service told me to take the phone and card to the verizon store and have them format the card. I don't know what they did, but now the card doesn't even show up when I am exploring the phone.

Do I go out and buy a card reader? If I plug it into my computer, will formating options appear so I can configure the card?

Yes, if you buy a card reader, you should be able to format it from your computer. It's a good thing to have anyway . . . makes it much easier to transfer stuff over.

or to re format it again to slip it in to a digital camera at like walmart and format it that way

You can find an SD card reader for around $10, maybe less.

I got a reader. There is nothing in its directions or in the menus associated with it about formatting. I put 2 songs on the card through the reader. I went through active sinc and added 2 more songs. The songs I added all showuld up on the card as they should and took an appropriate mount of time to do so. However, none of the songs are in the phone's library. Also, the memory manager only shows the memory built into the phone. It has always only shown that. From my further reading, it seems like the card should show up in there. What do I try next?

I don't think the music will show up automatically until you point to it.
In WM hit menu.
Then there should be add files to library option which allows you to chose the card. If its not there something is wrong with the phone.
