Default Flash on camera

I hear people talk of a program that allows you to use the camera flash as a flash light. When I turn my flash on, the light stays on. Is that normal? It will flash though.

Okay it does not flash. But the light stays on and very bright/blinding.

As far as using the Q as a flashlight... here ya go:

My flash also stays on constantly, so its really not a flash. Because its so bright I avoid taking pictures in dim area's cause everyone complains about it.

You Q is a cell phone, internet appliance, PDA and a flashlight. As others have said, it does not 'flash.' Makes you wonder why they call it a flash at all.

I will say this, if you turn the flash on and don't turn it off before you close the camera, it will come on the next time you turn the camera on.

I can't use my flash because people complain it's too bright...I just get a picture of people with squinty eyes...On my old Samsung A900, the flash flashed.
