Default Email help (yet again)

Okay so here's the deal:

I'm using an email account from school and it only offers an SMTP server on campus. They say that if you want to use the account at home have it forwarded to another account or use your ISP's SMTP. Now this works on my desktop, but for my Q this presents a problem.

First problem/question:

Does anyone know an SMTP server I could use?

Second problem/question:

Can anyone tell me how to change what my email address will appear as on outgoing mail?

Right now I have my school email working through Gmail to get to my phone. So when I send an email on my phone the From: says my Gmail account, and I want it to say my school email, that the sender originally addressed the email to.

Any help would be amazing!!!

Since no one could (or wanted to) help me with my problem, I just wanted to post the solution I figured out for anyone else who needs that help.

If you want your return address to be different than the server you use for POP or IMAP access you can change the first setting in setup when you are asked what your email address is. This does not have to be in sync with the login information used to actually retrieve th email.

For example I have my college email going through my Gmail. I received emails sent to the college address on my Q but when I responded, it would be from my Gmail account. Changing the settings for email to the college address and leaving the log in and server information alone accomplished this.

Yes, you can use GMail as an SMTP server for your mail.
