I'm new here so forgive me if this has been griped about before. Why can I not see an entire email? Why must I wait to sync again to download the rest of an email? And if there is an attachment, I have to sync again for that too? After you sync for an attchment, where does the attachment go so I can view it? By the way using active sync off the exchange server.

The Q's manual sucks.

You can set the Q to download the entire message or just download the headers. Its in your messaging options.

K,

Press: Start > Messaging

Once you are in Messaging, select the email account you want. Now you will be able to select the right soft key "Menu" then go to Options

Now from Options to go D "Account Options" right soft key.
Select the email account again and it will take you through the email account setup. You don't need to change any settings if you are able to send/receive mail.
After that, I press Next 4 times and I get a screen that says: "Download the following messages"

The bottom option you can set to download the first 500 bytes, the first 1000, or the entire message. I think that is what you said you want.

When I click on Account options it just says "Text Messages". No other option but that.

Sounds like you need to setup your email account. Otherwise it would work and you could go in and set how much of the email u want pulled in.

Yes, as Jeff says, you don't have an email account set up on your Q to modify the settings. So I guess with that said, how were you checking your email on the Q prior to this post?

Sounds like you're checking it via OTA Exchange sync? If that's the case, load ActiveSync on your Q:

Menu -> Options

Highlight "E-mail" under you server source

Now press Settings

Go down to "Limit e-mail size to" and select "All"

Of course I have email set up on the Q. I am with Verizon, by the way. I get email sent to the Q already. I just cannot find a setting on the thing that lets me modify how much I can see of each message. I went to messaging options exactly per your advice and there seems to be no option for me to change this.

I think you got it! I am connecting to the server OTA I have changed the settings, and I think it's fixed. I still do have a question with attchments. You have to sync again to D/L attchments I understand, but then where does it D/L to? After I do this where will the attachment be so I can view it?
