Default Downloading Directly to Memory Card

I've tried to search the forum, and have found no answer...

The other day, I attempted to download a 49.9MB "podcast" file. Of course this was too big to download to the Q's main memory. I have a 1GB memory card inserted, but for the life of me, I cannot find out how to tell the Q to download the file directly to the card, which has more than enough space.
I know I can download it at home and sync, but is there a way to do this straight from the browser?

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but one thing that might work for you is install wm5storage on your Q. When you activate it and connect your Q to any PC, the storage card shows up like a drive, just like if the storage card was a usb key.

He's asking how to download a link onto the Memory card. If you have VZW, I believe you're out of luck. If you are on Sprint, when it asks "do you want to download this file", the right soft-key is a Menu. Click that and go to "Save As" and you can choose the destination.

Yep, I have VZW, and that's exactly what I want to do.. download a larger file that is too big for the Q's internal RAM.... I guess I have to hope for a VZW ugrade/change... thanks..

Stop using PIE browser and use Opera...it would have downloaded that file fine.

I have the Save As menu on both my Black and Silver Verizon Qs. But even if you did that, it internally downloads first, so it breaks on big files

What I do, since this is podcasts we're talking about, is use a podcast downloading program called AudioBay. $6, cheap and works well. I would think Newsbreak (which now downloads enclosures, Mp3s for instance) works the same way, that one's $8.
