Does GMAIL push?

Once I have gmail set up, and working...will the messages push by itself when I receive a new message, or do I have to manually send/receive? When I went through the initial set up, I selected to connect every 15 mins. Is that the only time it will check automatically, or will I receive the message like a push the way exchange pushes them?

no, Gmail does not push.. you will need separate/different software for that.

how they are to be setup i do not know as i don't use one myself... a search here on EQ for push mail should get you some results.

Maybe I will just live with the 15 min. intervals. It's not that big of a deal. Unless there is a very simple and easy way to make this work. I am not to worried about it.

i hardly ever use the Gmail account, it is more a "just-in-case" address... i collect mail once a day :}

perhaps i will make it push @ some point.. then again, maybe not :}

The reason I have the phone is for work, and work emails. My primary account is my gmail account. But like I said, I can live with the 15 min. intervals.
