disable beep (sorry if this is a repost. - Motorola Q Forum

Hey guys, so I just got my moto q today, upgraded from a mpx220 and switched from cingular to sprint. I've been having a blast with this phone, re-writing some XML and customizing everything. One issue I ran into was, when the phone is plugged in, and unplugged, there is this annoying beep (kinda like a keyboard lockup on a computer) I read through a good part of the reg hacks, and could'nt find anything,,,so anyone else have this issue or know how to get rid of that beep?

most of the hacks reset on phone reboot. people just make blank sounds and name them the same as the sounds they dislike and dont want to hear.

Right, I understand that,, I just want to know if there is a way to kill that beep when the phone is plugged in and unplugged..... Also, I know I heard the beep somewhere else as well, I will update this thread if I can find it again.

which hacks reset when the phone reboots?
do you mean hard reset or turning the phone off?

so anyone know the reg key I need to modify to clear the beep that goes off when the phone is plugged in and unplugged,, I did hear it again today doing something else.. not sure what I was going other than it did not like the key I pushed and the phone did nothing....

This may be dumb, but what fixed my phone from beeping was turning off the unread message alert. When I had any emails that weren't read, it would bother the crap out of me.

I am having the same problem, no unread text messages or emails, yet a bleeping sound kicks on randomly and I cannot figure out why... I was thinking maybe it's coming in and out of coverage or something? I dunno. I could use some help on this as well. TIA.

I would also like to know how to disable the "song" that plays when you turn your phone on. Is that a Verizon feature only? It is very loud and annoying! If I could learn how to disable that plus the beeping noise when I plug in and unplug my phone, I would love my Q!
