Default Copying Email Attachments

Using the built-in MQ email client, how do I move or copy an attachment file in email to My Documents folder? I have installed a 3rd party NotePad app but it won't open my *.php files because they are not .txt files - so how can I move or copy these files once I get them in an email?

Thanks...

The problem for me is that the file is in an email attachment - I installed Vieka but it doesn't allow you to configure it as the default app to open any textual files as attachments. When I try to open the attachment I get an error "Unrecognized File Type"

There are plenty of other threads on it -- but I'm too lazy to search for them too. The gyst of it is:

try to open it - it'll give you that error
Go to File Manager, and look in \Application Data\Volatile -- your files should be there

When I try to open the .php file in the email attachment, I get the error (as stated before) but nothing in the My Documents folder - so the file does not automatically get copied or moved anywhere.

I did a search on email, attachments, moving and copying with no hits - so if there are threads on this topic from the past, they are well hidden!!

Check out http://www.everythingq.com/forum/sof...-mail-466.html. As an alternative to dealing with renamed .att files in \Windows\Messaging\Attachments, in the non-viewer case, one could set the file association for .php to point to a compatible text editor. See, for example, http://www.everythingq.com/forum/sof...ions-5681.html.
