Contact Listing Order

I am used to going through my contacts by first name and my Q defaults to listing them all by LAST, FIRST. Has anybody found a way to change this? It's not a problem since you can type either first or last in and get to what you want, but I'd rather see them listed FIRST LAST. Thanks in advance.

there is a program for that called Contactfix, do a search and you will find it.

If You Choose The Edit Opion In One Of Your Contacts, And Scroll Almost All The Way Down; You Will See A Field Called File As; You Can Choose Either Last Name First Name Last, Or First Name First Etc. Hope This Helps.

oh, i emailed the makers since the screen kind of cuts of in a weird spot, in their quick reply they said they are aware of the issue and also that the next version will automatically do it's job after it sees that the contact list has changed.

Thanks a lot. I was about to ask where I was supposed to search because I tried earlier and had no luck at all! My problem is fixed and all is good!

When you go to save your contacts, be sure to scroll all the way down
to the end and it lets you save the contact either first last name order
or last first name order--- as far as I can tell, you will need to do it for each one if you want it different for other names.
Hope this makes sense.

Yeah.. I figured that out, but the program mentioned above does them all for you. I'm guessing that probably saved me somewhere in the neighborhood of 139743 key strokes.

plus i like that it displays company name as well
