Connecting to AC power automatically changes profile - Motorola Q Forum

When I connect my Q to a car charger a wall charger it always changes my profile to Car. Additionally, sometimes when this happens I am unable to hear anything on my Q. I can initiate phone calls, send e-mail, surf the web, eveything except use the speaker. Anyone have some info on this?

when your Q isnt plugged in to anything hold down the home button and check to see if your profile is set to automatic....that might be the cause

That's something I've tested and it doesn't seem to matter what profile I have set it to when I plug the device in. I can have it on automatic, normal, etc and it will always switch to car.

The fact that I am unable to hear anything may be a seperate issue.

One more piece of info that might help: plugging it into a USB port has no effect on the speaker.

Try resetting all of the profiles and see if that helps. There is an option once you are inside the profile to reset it back to default.
