Default Can't view attachments sent from within Outlook!

I asked once before, but I can't seem to get an answer anywhere, so I'll try again. I'm a Sprint Moto Q user and for some reason, attachments sent through e-mail from a PC using Outlook and its "Insert file/attachment" feature don't show up on the Q. The sender, subject, text within body of message show up-but no attachment. However, when the attachments are sent directly from their host program (Excel spreadsheet sent from within Excel, for example), they do show up and I am able to view them. Anyone else experience this?

So just to clarify, directly in the host program (Excel) are you clicking send to recipient as attachment, or are you adding the spreadsheet data directly into the email body (which is another option in Outlook)

Now, if you use the Insert file/attachment method, i am assuming you are creating a new message to send. Does it do this if you send the message to yourself (or have the sender send it to themselves) via outlook and then forward the message to your Q, it does not seem like it should make a difference, but you might want to try the Detect/Repair feature in Outlook.

I'm going to try this. But, I thought I should add that I am using the same e-mail acount (my home pc Comcast account) on both my pc and the Q. I wasn't sure if this should matter. I didn't set up a separate e-mail account for the Q yet.

I seem to remember some issue with my old Sprint Blackberry whereby the sender needed to e-mail attachments to a separate Blackberry e-mail account I set up in order for me to view them properly. If they e-mailed them to my Comcast account, sometimes (always?) the Blackberry would display a message that the "the document conversion failed." I'm not sure if this a Sprint issue, a Comcast issue or an Outlook issue.

Did you test my scenario on your Q?

Sorry, I haven't tested it out yet, Im at work still! I work till 7 am so I won't have a concrete reply until I wake up again tomorrow. It may also be due to the fact that if Outlook is open on your home PC as well as your Q, the attachment resolves to the PC's inbox and is downloaded there from your POP server. Maybe close Outlook once you send the message and see if that helps any.
