Default Cannot send picture through email?

Using outlook, I have tried several times to send a picture to another email address. It always comes back with the following after sending for a long time " The following errors ocurred while sending and receiving mail:"
"An error occurred while downloading messages. Verify that you have network coverage and that your account information is correct and then try again"

It lists the above 2 times.

This only happens when I am sending a picture. I can send/receive regular email with issues.

I am on Alltel if this helps.

Suggestions?

Thanks

How are you trying to send it? Are you doing it from the picture app or Outlook?

I send pics all the time. I go straight into Outlook and use Menu, File, Insert to attach the pic. I have never tried using the Send option from the Picture app.

Doing it from outlook. Exactly as you describe. I also have tried lowering resolution to that smallest size...still getting the same error.

Ok..it is not just pictures, but any kind of attachment. I tried sending a small file and small voice note, but it just says "sending mail" for about 1 minute and then gives that same error.
It also gives another error once in a while "timed out waiting for a response from the server, try again" and just below it is the "error occurred message"

Instead of putting SMTP.suddenlink.net for your outgoing server in outlook try putting in 208.180.40.68 and see if that works for you.

Thanks for the suggestion, but it does the same thing. I have also tried mail.alltel.net and still got the same thing.

You can try a Mail2Web hosted Exchange account. They have a free one.

It has to be something Alltel forgot to do when I set up my account. I have tried everything and even set up a complete Gmail account. Even with the Gmail account I can only send regular emails and no attachments. I cannot figure this out.
