Default Can moto q be restored to factory config

Playing with the freeware wordpad for the first time, I overwrote a system file

mixp_system.vol

I have rebooted since then and not gotten any complaints so I'm crossing my fingers.

I am also going to install sprite backup

But I wonder, is there a way to reset the Moto Q software to the way it was when it came from the factory? Has anyone taken an out of the box Moto Q and made an image of its memory?

If I had deleted an important file and was now not able to get the Moto Q to boot, what could I do?

So a hard/master reset as described here

http://www.everythingq.com/forum/mot...html#post19492

Actually restores the phone to its new state even if system files had been deleted? I wonder how that can work, does every Q have all of the system files in rom?

this is true...a hard reset removes all chaged settings, files put on and any sync'd settings and reverts back to the original out of the box set up...
