camera issues

so i just got my brand new moto q today from sprint and everything is fine except the camera doesnt work. i click the little camera button in the bottom right and it just takes me to a folder where pictures are located. i read the book and everything cant figure it out. i am hopefully just overlooking something, but its driving me nuts cuz if its broken i dont want to personalize everything if im gonna end up sending it back.

I am just going to have to go up to the sprint store cuz when i dial a number i hear no ringing or talking through my phone so maybe its messed up. No offense but i am getting sick of talking to Habib over in India everytime i need help with something technological cuz they do me no good.
