calling while car charging

My Q is going back for a replacement because it has TONS of things that just aren't working correctly including the whole turning off thing.

However, one thing it's doing that I don't know if it's suppose to or not is that when it's charging on the car charger I can dial out and it shows it connects and the phone rings to the person I;m calling, but I can't hear them and they can't hear me. I tried several times and several differnt people and I got the same result. Is this some sort of safety feature or is it just because the particular phone I have is junk. I hope they get my new one to me quick because this one is a pain in the #*$&.

I don't have a car charger, but when my Q is plugged in to the wall charger or to my PC USB, I can do calls just fine. Does it work OK when plugged in the way I describe?

It works fine on the wall charger. When it's on the car charger it doesn't have any sound to it. For example when I dial on the car charger the keys don't beep like normal. It's almost like the sound is gone.

maybe the profile is getting switched somehow.. check to see what profile it's using..

My Q works fine on the car charger, sounds and all. I actually set a profile to be my car profile, I just have the volume automatically blasting on everything cause I like to listen to music when I drive... loudly.

Well it sound like it's just my phone. I can't even begin to list the problems my phone has, it's like it's the demon phone. They say I should have my new one on Monday.

I'm crossing my fingers that this one works!

Are you using an OEM charger? Sometimes after market products can cause strange results. However, it sounds like it could be this particular unit.
