Battery Life Help!

My moto Q talk life is horrible. 20minute phone calls and the battery is low. Someone told me I need a software update. any help out there? thanks.

currently mobile so i see no avatars... go to the Motorola web site and see if there's an update (be aware you will loose everything you did to the phone so backup what you want to keep)

Yes, I was there earlier today and went through with that update. Maybe its the battery itself? The battery is a SNN5762A with 880mAh. is this the battery for Q's?
I'd really like to fix this. I used my XV6700 for awhile bc of the horrendous talk time. 15-20minutes if i'm lucky. I switched back to my Q today and would like to get to the bottom of this.

EDIT:
I think I found the problem, the battery that came with it is a 880mah while the regualr Q battery is 1130mah.

So now I'm in the market looking for a new battery: either the normal 1130mah or extend life 1640mah. Any Suggestions???

that's odd... wonder why they would give you a lower capacity battery, depending on the planned usage pick one that fits you, i am getting by with the default 1130.
