| Battery Life After Upgrade Well, the upgrade went great, and yes, I believe the device does work better, BUT...now my battery lasts about half the time as before the software upgrade, 12 hours or so. Anyone having this same issue? |

| No problem here. Check to see if during the upgrade the 'beam' was turned on. That was the battery drain I was having even prior to the upgrade. Turned it off, and the battery lasts a couple of days |

| Same here.. but I attribute it to checking POP mail on two accounts every 1/2 hour.. are you guys checking mail?

| Same deal here - battery will barely make it through the day. I agree it's due in part to checking mail/wireless sync as well as being in a degraded signal area (inside) while that's happening. Cell phones have to boost their power when the signal is low to maintain a connection, in turn using more juice. When I set my phone to only check mail periodically and put it near a window where the signal is better, the battery lasted a little longer...but certainly not a few days as someone mentioned...
Anybody have any ideas other than adding the bulk of the extended battery? |

| I use wireless sync, and I can't attribute my bad battery life to any of those things because I am in the same wireless area as before and checking email and everything the same way, and I never used to have this problem. The battery should be lasting longer, something isn't right. |

| The reason I noticed was before the upgrade, I was using the regular battery and it lasted MUCH longer than it did after the upgrade. I am forced to use an extended battery now. It was never a great battery, but it was much better before the upgrade.
Something is draining the battery. |

| I guess I got off lucky. Although talk time for me is very limited, I use wireless sync constantly and use the browser quite often. I don't get but 100-150 emails daily so that may help, but I am currently on the same battery I was on yesterday starting at 5am and have 2 bars left. Before the upgrade, I was using the standard and extended to get through 24 hours. I will say that after the upgrade, I also read about turning off the 'beam'. Can't say why, but I have not complaints about battery. Maybe if I used the phone on this more, but I have a phone I use separately. |
