Your phone is fine, I don't know anyone with a Q that can get it to last past noon using the stock battery.
The battery in the Q has the same capacity as the battery in regular motorola phones like the Razr, but obviously those have much smaller LCDs and they're not running Windows.
In fact the battery life is so bad that US Cellular
*** gives 2 batteries and a extra charger to every customer that gets a Q. Not as a separate package either, they put it right in the box when you buy the Q, probably so they don't have to hear "My Q has a bad battery!" all the time. Most other Windows Mobile phones have batteries with 50% more capacity than the Q.
Get the triple life battery from seidio with 3200mAh. I have one and it'll last over a day without charging and I'm constantly using my phone.
Funny battery story: co-worker notices the extended battery the other day and says "hey you got an extended battery?"
Me: "Yep"
Him: "How's it work? Do you like it?"
Me: "Yeah it'll last over a day now"
Him: "Huh maybe I should get one"
Me: "You have a Q? I've never seen you with it, where's it at?"
Him: "It dies every morning before I get to work, I leave it in the car charging all day."
***I just noticed you said you got your phone from US Cellular, they didn't give you two batteries? They gave me two when I got mine last August. Washington post said you get two batteries:
http://reviews.washingtonpost.com/pr...Motorola/Q.htm "Anyone who spends a lot of time talking on their phone will probably find the Q's battery life insufficient, which is probably why Motorola includes two batteries with the Q."
