Bad Battery Overnight??

I awoke this morning and unplugged the Q from the charger and noticed it was off. Strange. It would not even turn on or respond when plugged back in. The only way to power on the phone was to use the extended battery, which I'm not a big fan of.
Any ideas why the original battery suddenly fails to work??

There has been an obvious problem with batteries and the Q. A lot of people have said that it is in part of some faulty batteries. I would take it back and get it replaced.
