Default Auto Key Lock?

Is there a way to have the phone auto lock the keys when the back light turns off? I keep putting it in my pocket and keys get pressed. I do not want to use a security code to unlock the phone each time.

either the pass key or hold down the home key and hit key lock...all you have to do to bring it back up is hit the 'unlock & * key'

Yes, I want this feature, but only for it to do it automatically after say 5 minutes of inactivity.

or i suppose you can use the password one and just use the * key as your password and set it for a few seconds to go to autolock

Good thinking, but the password has to be at least 4 digits. It has a manually key lock built in, I can't understand why I can get it to work the way I want. Every other phone I have had does it.
