AS question

Never mind, just reinstalled the disc and everything started up. I installed once and it only went to AS 4.0 on the second install I got AS 4.2, not things are good.


Hi, I just got my Q, had a question, I read in the manual and online how to add ringtones via PC. I loaded up AS on my PC made sure my Q had the PC to USB option on in Connections.

When I open up AS on my pc, go to Explore, it opens up Mobile Device. Npw once in there, there is nothing. I try to drag a pic or mp3 into the folder, no good.

How stupid am I being that I dont understand this yet. Online says;

1. First of all open ActiveSync on your Computer.
2. Click on Explore button.
3. Double click on device icon.
4. Open the application data folder.
5. Now open the sounds folder.
6. Drag the ring tone file from your desktop folder into the into the sounds folder.
7. Now safely disconnect your Motorola Q.

But I dont have these folders when I go into my mobile device through AS.
