I have the new Good service (was Good Link) from Motorola, with a few learning curves.
Is anyone using it? If so, I am receiving emais with no problem but my sends are not going out. I figure it must be a sync problem but don't know where to turn.
Obviously, I turned tothis group of experts.
I hate it. It takes over my q and I cant get it to stop. Its like an uncontrollable rebel force. I had to remove it since I didnt want my work taking over my personal stuff using goodlink. I hate emails at 4 in the morning also.
I'm using Goodlink on my phone and I haven't had any problems....although, I think it helps I used to admin an enterprise Goodlink system as well :-)
If you are having issues with your phone, try navigating to the "about goodlink" screen (good preferences --> about goodlink). Type in the word debug (you won't see the text on the screen) and hit "enter". It will take you to a command prompt screen. Type in the word reprov and hit enter. It will ask you if you want to reprovision your device....type yes and hit enter.
This will have it go to your corporate Goodlink server and reprovision your account on your device; it will also check to make sure everything is installed correctly. Once that completes, it will re-sync all the data on your device.....don't worry, nothing gets deleted, it just thinks it's doing an initial sync again.
If that doesn't work, the only other thing you can do is a hard reset on your device and re-install. If you still have issues, have your admin open a trouble ticket with Goodlink. Make sure you tell him you did a reprov and a hard reset....these are the first two things Goodlink will tell you to do with 90% of the reported issues. If you tell them that both have been done, and the issue still persists, it will get bumped up to second-level support.
GoodLink has become known as 'the devil' amongst my co workers and I, for us, it's too invasive. Maybe if work was paying for it, I'd feel differently, Activesync is the only way for me.
