Default Anyone Have Typing Issues - Letters Not Appearing?

When I type emails, I always have to go back and correct my messages. The Q keeps leaving out letters when typing. For example, I type a message "hello, how are you" and it reads "hello, ho are yo". I know I am pressing the keys. Is this a software issue or perhaps do I have a defective Q where I need to press really hard on the letters?

Anyone have a similar issue?

Thanks.

in most cases -as discussed before- you most likely type too fast... the Q doesn't like that. one thing you could do which helps some, a bit is to turn off predictive text.

Sometimes I have this issue when I dial into to check my email and the phone will not generate the numbers (or tones) necessary to sign into the voice mail system. In this case I need to turn off the phone and then turn back on to regain this capability.

i've just accepted this as a flaw with the Q. it can't keep up with how fast i type so i just type out what i want, make a quick run through it to correct/add letters and then send it. it only adds like 5 or 10 seconds on to it so that's something i can live with.

Yeah, I agree. It has nothing to do with the keys not being pushed hard enough. I slowed down and have no issues. As you said, it just can't keep up :-(.

Anyone know of a hack to fix this????

you already found it, type slower.. there is a speed hack in the Motorola Q Hacks thread, but if it makes that much difference i doubt it..
