Reading through the forums, as far as I can find, the newest sdhc drivers are able to read more than 4gb but do not work for the original moto q at all.
I've installed drivers with names like sdhc.777 and sdhc_v071227
which if I understand correctly only work with wm6.
The first sdhc driver will read up to 4gb, even if an 8gb minisd card is installed.
I am the owner of an 8gb minisd card purchased from newegg, until drivers arrive, I guess I'll use it for something else.
Is there any hope that the hackers who produced working 4gb sdhc drivers for the original q will be able extend it to 8gb?
Is the problem one of hardware, or is it that there is not much interest in making a relatively simple change in the drivers already available since most people have newer phones?
