Default Antenna indicator consistantly showing data transfering

My radio indicator is consistantly showing that data is being transfered.

If I go into the task manager and kill all applications, the icon still appears that data is being transfered.

Has anyone else seen this?

Mine does this too, not constantly, but long after I killed all the open applications. Anyone know why?

I can only imagine that the EVDO conenction is staying connected after closing the application which is using the data connection? Is this normal behavior?

Thats basically what is going on. Some people reboot their phones, but i dont. My data is unlimited and it has not yet affected my phone calls.

Music or Audio

I called 611 to ask about this and they basically said it's no big deal, that it's a way of showing that the phone is ready capable to doing this, even though it's not actively doing so at the moment. Now what I'm refering to are the arrows. If you see the other data transfer icon it may be a different story. Hope that helps.

It's the battery life I'm worried about. Oh well, time for the bigger battery i guess.

This only shows that a data link has been established. Unless you see the small PDA icon where the gps icon is, it is not sending data. The PDA icon indicates a data transfer is in progress. The arrows are normal and do NOT indicate data is being transmitted, once again only that the link is established.

Turning the phone off and on, etc. is just a waste of time.
