Default Another Battery Question

At first my Q battery lasted no more than a day. Then i applied al the hack and tricks to the phone and the battery lasted for more than 50 hours.

Since a few weeks now, however, my battery is having trouble again; because it won't last a full day with barely any use (battery hacks and tricks all remain apllied).

Is this happend to anyone? i was so happy with a battery lasting more than a full day, now i am not!.

Besides, the first 25% of a full battery is consume in about 8 hours and the rest 75% is also consume in the same amount of time (at night at home i have to charge it again)

Any suggestion will be appreciated!

How often do you put it on the charger? Does it ever get to run all the way down and then get a full charge? Have you added a bluetooth device? These and a few more issues can change the battery's behavoir.

I use the charger every night now, and a few times i waited until the battery was completely drained. I added a bluetooth device to talk while driving but uninstall it right after the change in battery consumpion. Could it be this the cause of the problem? Is there a way to repair it?, I already completely turn-off the bluetooth and un-install the bluetooth device... do i have to do anything else?

Any help out there?

Thanks in advance!

After reading a serious number of post relating this issue i tried un-pluging the SD Memory Card for a while to see the reaction of my battery (some people claimed that defective SD card could result in faster drain battery): no good at all.... still the baterry behavior is no near close to what it was the first month of use: 16h now vs 50h before!

Thanks for the advice lammcspicy. I turned off Evdo for a couple of days to verify battery behavior, unfortunatelyit didn't change

I'd like to check every possible option to reverse this battery drain issue before trying a master reset.

Any help from you Q-users would be thanked in advance.

What "hacks & tricks" are you referring to?

First thing i did was this registry editing:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\AsyncMac1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\Irsir1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\PPTP1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\L2TP1\Parms
Default value type and value are
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:1
Change to
“DisablePowerManagement”=dword:0

Then these (check them at: http://www.everythingq.com/moto-q-new-user-guide/):

Disable Incoming Beams (a considerable improvement after this)

Turn-off Bluetooth when not in use (i stop using the BT headset in order to check if it was to blame)

Dim Screen Using Candlelight.

Kill Tasks (i keep always killing tasks)

At first they all work great, incrementing battery life by three times .... but now after a couple of months the battery drains within a day

I also installed Q-caps, but now i disable it because i believe it was draining battery (i enable it only when need to type a long text).

Is there any other hack or trick available, i think i have tried them all already.

help please!

I'd just swap out the battery. Batteries for things are waaaaaaaaaaay behind the technology they support unfortunately. Laptops, PDA's, iPod's, etc, etc.... I think that will probably take a lot of stress off if you get a good battery in there.

I disabled beams and bluetooth and am hardly using my Q (still transitioning from Cingular phone). For some reason my phone’s battery is hardly lasting half a day, so every once in a while I look at the tasks running and Outlook or Messaging shows running, even though it has no accounts and I am not synching it. I kill it, look again an hour later and there it is running again, I am wondering if that is killing my battery because I am hardly using it otherwise. Help?
