Default Annoying Beep when hitting Enter

I'm not sure if anyone knows what the source of this beep is, but here's what I do:
Fire up IE, load up google search page
Type something into the box, hit the Enter/Return key.. the first time nothing happens, and the results page loads
If I hit the Backspace key to go back to the Search page (from the results page) and change the text in the search box and then hit Enter/Return, I get an annoying beep, and the search results load.

It also does this when I go to the address bar and hit the return key.

What is the cause of this and how can I disable it? I went into IE's options and turned off sounds, and that didn't fix it. I went into the phone settings and disabled the predictive text, thinking maybe it was just mad that it didn't know what the word was.
(I start with "test", then type "testggg" which causes the beep, but going back to "test" still gives a beep)

I know this can be disabled by setting my phone to silent but I"d like to be able to browse the web and fill out boxes without needing to change my profile.

I have the same problem and all of my sounds in the Sounds menu are set to vibrate.
Is this somewhere else?

It also does this when trying to press backspace at the beginning of a form (like a default beep) or when plugging and unplugging the USB cord.
