Default Alarms/Alerts only play through headset. How do I fix this?

I have tried switching to Normal mode and have adjusted all of the settings under 'edit', but I can only get my alarms and alerts to play through my headset. This doesn't help me wake up in the morning as I don't sleep with my headset on and if I could remember to put my headset on in time to hear my reminders, I probably would not need the reminder function. Also, I have tried with different headsets and get the same results. Anyone have any ideas of what I am doing wrong or need to start doing?? Thanks.

If you leave your headset on (bluetooth) or connected (wired) the profile will automatically change to Headset even if you choose normal. Edit the Headset profile and make sure the volume is set to the level you want and the alarms, reminders and rings are set to on. On my phone, only incoming calls are heard from the phone (and headset) and all other reminders or alerts through the headset when in the Headset profile.

I have tried raising all of the volume levels to 'loud' and set them all to 'vibrate and ring' or 'vibrate and sound'. If it is not on vibrate, then there is no way to tell that there is an alarm without the headset on. I have tried to put it on Normal a hundred times now. I have tried to reset the default settings for both Normal and Headset. It says normal on my home screen, but just plays through the earpieces. Is this the only way the Qs work? It is kind of useless to have to turn off my BT headset and turn it back on every time a call comes in just to get my alerts. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to make the alerts audible without the headset in?

Have you tried:

Start -> Bluetooth -> Bluetooth Manager -> E Settings -> Menu -> Advanced

Uncheck "Use Hands-free for standard audio"
