AIM Messaging (Not using program) - Motorola Q Forum

I was wondering, I have Palringo to use AIM. This works ok, but it would be sweet if I could set it up like to have the messages come in as text messages. I know my old phone let me do it, most phones have the generic aim on it to let you connect and receive the messages as txts. Any idea if this can be done with the Q?

I could be wrong, but I believe all of the IM programs out there for the Q use data primarily, as opposed to texts. But, you should review the various threads here re IM clients to be sure.

you could go old school and use the text to sign on to AIM...then text to see whos online...and text to log off
