Two decent programs (and a few not-so-decent) are available. OctroTalk, and Mundu Messenger. I personally like Mundu much more, and its pretty cheap as well. Octro supposedly has some kind of voice chat functionality though, but I haven't tested it. Heck, I can't even get Octro to login to Yahoo in the newest version.

The others that I can think of are IM+ and Agile Messenger. I wouldn't bother with them...overpriced and buggy.

You'll need some 3rd party software I believe.
you might try looking here - http://www.shapeservices.com/en/prod...php?product=im

I don't use it myself but I came across it in my MSN travels,
you can do a free trial version to see if you like it for a week I think.

There are a few others out there I think as well but I only use MSN so
I'm not too familiar with all of them.

Why wouldn't you just use the bundled MSN messenger that comes with the Q for free? Or the free Windows Live IM as well....

I would say its data.. If your looking for an SMS version for your phone, at least for AIM, check out their site. On my old phone before I got a data capable phone, I used to use a text version of aim. I didnt like it that much and it wasnt worth it to me but might be worth checking out.. Its free so what are you out..

thats why i was checking, because i want it to run off of my data plan. I have a limited number of texts outside of verizon, but unlimited data... i think its data too, because if you look at the requirements on the mundu website, it says it needs a broadband connection, never mentioning anything about SMS

anyone have trouble with mundu not showing up like a buddy contact with just the cell# so you can just text the person?
my regular aim shows it, but mundu doesn't
and really, i want to use this program to sms(obviously it'll be cheaper lol)
