Default ActiveSync4.2 and Outlook 2000

Does Active Sync 4.2 still support Outlook 2000 for contact, task list, and calendar sync? When trying to sync, Active Sync hangs up saying "syncronizing" but never gets any farther. Have tried reinstall of ActiveSync, soft reset of Q, but same problem...I used to be able to sync with no problems...same PC (XP Tablet) and same Q...any thoughts?

Thanks

There is ActiveSync version 4.5 that you can download. If you upgrade it should sync no problem.

I did that...just to stay up to date...that is when these problems started...Microsoft site says 4.5 does not support Outlook 2000...must upgrade to 2003 which I really do not want to do! When I went back to 4.2, no longer will sync.

Do you have a firewall or any McAfee programs?

Try this link out too, it says iPAQ at the top, but some of the users in the forum have Q's.

No firewall on the PC...only on the router which is not in the loop for sync...no McAfee...using BitDefender for virus and spyware...turning them off did not fix the problem.
