Default ActiveSync Not Working

my active sync isnt working. When i connect my phone (via USB) it recognizes it, and quickly disconnects. I tried deleting and redownloading the software, but that hasnt worked.. I would also restart my computer and phone, and that hasnt worked either.. is there anything else i could try?

yes, i tried that.. there are no partnerships when i open activesync from my phone... and it still isnt working...

on your PC delete the partnership not the phone

Does the phone charge on a regular outlet?
You may have a bad USB cable, or the connections need to be cleaned. In addition, Microsoft has released newer versions of ActiveSync, so you may want to surf the MS site to see what upgrades are available.

my USB cable is fine.. i have a couple of them...
i think i have the latest version of active sync.. i have.. 4.5.0 5096 (something like that)
my phone recognizes its connected to a power source when connected to the computer.. all the settings are correct.. i cant figure out why it isnt working though.

I do have the same problem... The computer sees the phone, but not my ActSync software. I'm quite sure the problem comes from my firewall (everthing was fine before I installed AVG internet security suite), but I don't manage to configure it correctly. All connections needed by ActSync are permitted on AVG firewall, but it doesn't seem to help!

Anyway, I suggest you check your firewall settings (and I hope for you they aren't has complicated as mine!!)...

On the other hand, if anyone can give me a tip with AVG, I would be thankful...

In your connections settings uncheck the advanced USB connection functionality check box. That should do it
