Default Active Sync Wont Recognize Q... Please Help

I've searched the forums and read a few Active Sync threads but couldn’t find anything to fix my problem.

I have updated to Active Sync 4.5. When I connect my phone to my comp (using USB) the phone will charge and my comp makes a sound like it recognizes something being connected. For whatever reason my phone still won’t connect to Active Sync.

I even tried removing all relationships from Active Sync on my phone.

Do you guys have any idea what this is or how I can get my phone connected to Active Sync? I'm pretty sure everything is up to date.

Thanks

In ActiveSync go to File/Connection Settings and ensure "Allow USB Connections" is checked.

With your phone disconnected from the USB cable go to settings/Connections/USB to PC and ensure "Enable advanced network functionality" is checked. Go to Start/ActiveSync/Menu/Options and highlight any connections shown click menu and delete them.

When you reconnect to the PC and start ActiveSync should bring up the new connection setup windows.

On my phone, when I go to Settings/Connections... the only options available are A: Beam and B: VPN. I don’t see an option for USB to PC. Could I have deleted something?

Go into ActiveSync option on the phone and click on Menu when disconnected and click Connections.

Make sure it is enabled.

Then make sure there is no relationship established in the phone...delete if there is. Next go to File and Mobile Device...if something is there go to File and then Delete Mobile Device and you should be able to reconnect.
