Default Active Sync issues...

I know people have posted about active sync having problems
and i have read through each and everyone of them(I Think)
i searched for my problem
to no avail

So i come to you.
My first time posting here but i have been reading
and using your tactics for a while now.

when i try to run active sync on either my phone or comp it wont connect.
it gives me an error on the phone that says:

Attention Required.
So i click it.
then it says:


Cannot synchronize with the Outlook profile you are using, because a different profile was previously set up or the profile is password-protected.
Please open Outlook using the appropirate profile.

If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. i have tried everything, so anything you can do will be awesome.

you should delete the partnership with your Q in active sync

file
delete partnership

then try to sync it again

Uhm. Un Problemo.
When i go to file on the sync on my comp
everything is grey'd out except

Connection Settings.
and Close.

What version of Active Sync are you using? When you clicked file delete partnership was your Q connected to your computer?

There lies the problem... i cant click it cause my Q wont sync and i am using 4.2.0

go to windowsmobile.com and download active sync version 4.5

now if you are running outlook 2002 or below you need to stay with 4.2

If you disconnect your Q the options to delete the partnership should be available. As you have found out while the Q is connected all of your options will be greyed out untill it has finished syncing.

I would also download Active Sync 4.5 from Microsoft.

Let me know if the partnership option becomes available.

hopefully the OP is on 2003 or later so he can upgrade AS without issue!

well thats just great i get the new ActiveSync and my parents take my phone away from me...

What ass wholes have they no respect for your time
