Default A possible GPS navi solution?

If I get a Q (Sprint) and a bluetooth GPS receiver, can I install & run any Windows Mobile GPS navigtaion software I want (namely Garmin Mobile, TeleNav or TomTom)??

To answer your question, yes and no... you won't be able to use ANY Windows Mobile GPS software... you'd need Windows Mobile GPS software that is optimized for smartphone. This is because some GPS software for WM is set up for touchscreen interface (which the Q doesn't have, of course) whereas the SmartPhone versions would be optimized for keypad/nav-key interface.

okay so say i buy a touchscreen Pocket PC instead... will Garmin's or TomTom's software ONLY pair/connect/work with their respective bluetooth GPS receiver offerings/bundle (Garmin Mobile 10 or 20 or TomTom Bluetooth GPS Receiver)?? or can i install their software and use it with another brand receiver?

It depends on the GPS receiver and the software, but most receivers will use the BTCOM port on the device, so you just need to make sure the software can read from that port. This should work fine on the Q as well, though I think some software will require "tweaks" (a quick search on the forum will reveal the answers)

So BTCOM is another term for Serial Port Profile (SPP), right?

Anyone have any feedback as to the difference between this and Co-Pilot? This one says it requires a data plan. Co-Pilot does not.

Co-Pilot costs 149.00 + 99.00/year and they only do once a year software updates they said, this one could be updated on a more regular basis I would asssume.

This one says 9.99/month or 99.00/year.

P.S. Just noticed the Telenav gived you a 30 day trial with you signup for the monthly.
