Default A couple questions before I buy a Q

I'm pretty sure I'm going to get the Q from the Verizon store soon. They don't know much about it there so I thought I'd post this here and get the answers right.

My email addresses are all POP mail accounts on several different servers. I check them with a Notebook computer using Outlook. I use Outlook for my email, contacts, calendar, task list and notes. I don't have a work network structure, I don't have any computers that are on the internet running office all the time. I wanted to use the Q synced up to the notebook's Outlook to keep my calendar, contacts, tasks, notes current in my pocket when I'm not using the notebook and then synced up when I get back to it with changes I may have made while away. I wanted internet access and email access on occasion when I'm without the notebook or can't use it. I have no experience with PDA's as I was waiting for a phone to do all that.

I'm wondering how to sync up the notebook and the phone and what package to use from Verizon to do what I need.

Oh yea and how do you answer the phone if the keys are locked in your pocket? Does the send button work or do you have to unlock then answer?

(The verizon store swore you couldn't lock the keys, that how out of it they are)

I'll continue to surf around the site to see what I can find but if anyone wants to help me figure that out I'd appreciate it.

Thanks. So does that work through USB or can it connect via Wireless G, infared, or Bluetooth or do I need to burn airtime while the computer is online?

So I'm already a Verizon guy. Do I get it at the local store or go through the online thing and have it sent out?

I ordered it online which was easy but then when I got the activation was a complete pain in the ass. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with Verizon after which I ended up having to go to the store to activate the damn thing anyway.

So I'd say go do it at the store and that way you can do all of the activation at the store.

Done. Got it yesterday at the store. You are absolutely correct.

Amazing power for such a little thing. Got a bit of learning curve going today but this website helps a ton.
