Need Help 5-way navigation pad sensitivity problem

My Q has a very sensitive center button on the 5-way. I barely have to touch it to record an "enter" operation. My previous Q (current one is a replacement due to a radio problem), required a full depress and "click" of the center button. Is this a setting? I can't locate a setting. I think it is a defect. Anyone else experienced this or can confirm that this is indeed a defect ?

I have the same issue. My Q developed this problem suddenly, about three weeks ago. I don't think it's a setting. It's driving me crazy too.

I think it is a defective device. My center button requires a hard depress as does anyother Q that I've operated.

do you use a case (ie, a case like the silicon slip-on's that cover the d-pad)? I don't think I've noticed this problem (yet) because my silicon case covers up the d-pad.

but yeah, maybe it's a bad device. damn you moto.

This sounds to me like a defect. The center button on my Q takes the same amount of pressure to press as any other key and there is a 'click' when I press it. The only problem that I have with the buttons is that the letter 'O' button doesn't always register on the first press. I usually have to press it twice before it types the letter.
