Yeah, I would like to hear how it goes with metal case. I read on here a few months ago about a guy complaining b/c he didn't have the signal strength that his wife had and wanted to know how to fix it. He came back later & said it was the metal case he was using. But if it works with no lost signal let us know. I think hubby needs one before he kills his phone.

I recieved the monaco black metal case last week and its very sturdy. It fits my q9c's extented battery very well. When you place it in the case it fits very snug and the inside is lined with some really good cushioning material. As someone stated before, it has round screw on the back of it that you can remove when you don't need the holster. The front of the case has a hard plastic screen to protect your phones screen. Its a pretty sturdy case.

As far as reception goes... I haven't noticed a difference in the week i've used it. My Moto s9 bluetooth headset works just as good when the case is on as well. Its nice to know I don't have to worry about scratches if for some reason I accidentally drop my phone.

I read this entire thread and no one posted about the body skins... Anyone have a personal review on them in terms of how well they fit the phone?

hi all,
i'm sorry i have yet to post about my case...my babies and i have been trading illnesses back and forth for a few weeks, and i havent been on the computer much!

i love this case...it's very sturdy...very snug, and i feel so much more secure now than when i had nothing on my phone..

i think it looks better than a leather case...the leather always seems to look dirty/grungy after a while...

my favorite part of this case is the plexiglass screen that covers your own screen...

as far as reception...i have not noticed any problems compared to when i wasnt using a case...and i've seen my phone get 4 bars (or 5, whatever the max is...)

i think that other guy said he never saw his phone go higher than 2 or 3?

I have only had my Motorola Q for a few weeks and I bought this metal case for it http://www.cases.com/pamdcmqb.htm

Normally at home I get 2 out of 4 bars of signal strength and my calls sound fine. But after putting my phone in this aluminum case my signal strength at home would go to 0 bars and my call quality would be bad and sometimes calls would be dropped completely.

I did several experiments with and without the case while calling friends and noticed a drop in signal strength and call quality each time I used the metal case.

I'm not sure if this is related to my Q and the signal in my area or has happened to others but I am going to stick with leather or plastic cases from now on.
