I heard that about the treo line when I had a treo as well.
I don't want a rubber (insert joke) because to get to the batter is a pain. I used to have a speck case on my treo, which was great for protection, but if you took it off, it stretched too much to put back on. The clear always faded to green too.

Default I got this case from All-h*ll

It's been dropped from the height of a semi-cab, kicked across a concrete floor, lost in a field I was mowing (and yes, I mowed over it), dropped phone when I was shoveling snow and tossed phone in a pile of snow, grabbed by my boss's irish setter who thought it was fun to play keep away... you get the picture by now-eh? There are no scratches on my Q, no dings, bumps, or bruises. I have an extended 3100 extended battery and extended battery door and it's just a little snug. Ppl told me when I put the extended battery in that the case wouldn't work. I thought, huh?, leather stretches. I just put a damp cloth inside and STUFFED IT! Everything fits just fine. I like the low profile clip (watch you fingers, it'll smash them) but then the clip holds the phone to what ever you clip it to. (Got to stop just laying it around). Everything is covered up, screen and keys. Have to undress phone to get to the battery but that part doesn't bother me at all. Hope this helps you. That little case has saved my Q a lot!

Geekster what brand/model is the case you are showing in the pics? Maybe I missed it.

Thanks!

I just checked out the site, and the one in the picture there isn't the same as the one you have in your pics. Now I'm doubly confused...

Sorry about that. I didn't look at the pix close enough. I did find this one on ebay but the clips are different. If you want me to, I can try to call the store today and see what they can find out if you still want one with the metal clip. If this one is ok then let me know then I won't call them (takes forever to get through to anyone, sometimes) I'll check back here as much as I can today.

Geekster,

Thanks for your reply. My wife decided on a different direction for cases for us as she also has a Q. Thanks to the confusion I now have a green case with tulips and daisies on it. Thanks a lot man!

Ok, I was kidding. If I don't say that I'm kidding, somone on here will want a link to where they too can get a green case with tulips and daisies on it. It was a joke.

She did guide me to a horizontal case with a magnetic flap: http://www.onlymotoq.com/productacce...-Leather-Pouch

I also got a couple of extended battery FlexiSkin cases from Boxwave for added protection here: http://www.boxwave.com/products/flex...rola-q_869.htm

And these should work perfectly with the Seidio 2100 mah extended battey (even though I really wanted the 3200 mah, but alas no good cases yet): http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=470

While I'm at it, I decided to try these inexpensive screen protectors from ScreenGuardz: http://www.screenguardz.com I'll let you guys know what I think of them after I've tried them for a while.

Since I usually carry my phone in my pocket these should work for us for now.

I do want to thank you though. The folks here are simply amazing with their desire and willingness to help others.

Oh, and in case anyone's interested, my wife and I both got Alltel branded Q's last week off Ebay (2 for 1 money deal). My wife is spoiled and always gets new stuff, but I had been using my extremely basic Nokia for nearly 5 years. It's been pretty good to me, but it's time to do something for me. I've wanted a Q for about a year now, and that sale I found on Ebay gave me a chance to get what I wanted, plus a back-up, in case something happened to the first phone. Of couse, after my wife saw the Qs & what they can do, her 3 month old Razr was no longer good enough. One thing I did agree with her is on the way the Razr stores contacts really sucked. Only one phone # per entry. What a waste.

Anyway, I am in to this Q thing pretty deep now, and am very excited about it. I know that there is still much more I want to do with it, including software and apps, but I'm gonna take some baby steps and try to do as much homework as possible. I do have some questions on synching, but I think I'll save them for a more appropriate thread.

Thanks again!

George

This is a closely guarded secret but I will share it with you now that you are here. We are all afraid of RudeBoy & NHockey. They just seem to know when you have your "bad streak on" and zero right in on you. It's better if we keep our halo's on, even if they are little crooked on some of us; ok, ok ...just me then!

Glad you found what you liked. And glad it wasn't the green thing, too.
You would be like that guy in commercial with the pink bling-bling cell phone at the diner wondering why he let his teenage daughter pick out his phone. Any help you need pester RudeBoy. He has been off sick for a few days and he needs to get back into the "game". (Whoa! I heard that all the way up here, RB!)
