Default Thoughts On Seidio 3200 Mah Extended Battery>??

Hi,

Im new to this forum and have had my Q for 2 months now. I really enjoy the phone but the first thing i relized (right away) when i bought the phone was how much the standard battery sucked. The phone would die on me in around six hours, so i opted to buy the OEM extended battery 1600 i think?> anyway this one will hold up for most of the day but i was thinking of purchasing the SEIDIO 3200. does anyone have this battery out there and if so.. Is it too bulky looking on the phone? how long does it last you? is it worth the upgrade?

Thanks,

Tommy B

I have not seen one in person I have just read up on them and that battery is 4mm thicker than the extended battery you have. Please update if you get one.

I honestly have not heard anything as far as reviews go. I did see that it is 4mm thicker than the Moto extended battery but that really wouldn't bother me if I could not have to worry about my phone dying half-way through the day. Please post if you buy one, I may end up snagging one too in the mean time.

I have the SEIDIO 2100 battery and love it. It is the same size as the extended battery and it lasts all day. I listen to MP3's at work and surf the net and it still works all day.

I Have a the 3200 battery. Great if you want to talk all day. looks like you grafted a treo 650 on the back of your Q and feels like you taped a roll of quarters to it. Greatly increase the weight and throws the balence off. IMHO.

What about their 1250 MAh slim extended battery? I've been reading alot that the batteries that come with the Q are old anyways and that's part of the problem with battery life like with my battery that came with my sprint Q was over a year from manufacture straight out of the box. Not that sprint cares, i'm even having charging problems because of this, but they will do anything to not replace a battery with a new one so I'm gonna just buy one...just don't want that fat battery, part of getting the q was it's slim plus i personally think it looks ugly.

Don't know if it's common but my phone sending like 20 texts and that's about it all programs closed(tasks killed) and no talk time i get like 6-8 hours before i need a charge...is that normal for the standard oem battery?

Default REALITY CHECK: The 3200 Seidio battery is GREAT!

FIRST, I also have the Seidio 3200 battery and it is equal to twice the power of the extended battery (which is around 1600 milliamps). (1) it is noticeable, but not anywhere as bad as you say- see the link above and LOOK at it! It forms a small bump at the bottom end of the phone that in total (phone and battery) is less than 3/4" at it's thickest by an inch and a half in length. It actually adds a better balance & feel to the phone especially when holding it in one hand, and makes no difference whether you use one or two hands. It's weight is NEGLIGIBLE - more like one 25 cent piece - certainly NOT a ROLL of them! I turned it on with a full charge at 6:30am today, it is about 12 hours later and the power bar just moved from a full bar to a 3/4 bar on the battery meter (that I've been constantly checking today as it is not the best indicator of actual power). (2) Being a PHONE, I do find that actually not having to be afraid to use it as one is NICE. Inaddition to using up over 2 hours of talk time, (3) I used Smartphone fucntions: I browsed the net for a half hour, and I've had my continuous push email (no time limitations) on all of the workday - and received/sent several emails, SMS, and texts per hour. I also fiddled with an Excel document using docs to go, and a Word document - both sent to me. Tomorrow I'll let y'all know how long it lasted and update the totals of phone call, browser, and email usage.
I AM IMPRESSED.......PsychDoc

NO. IT IS THE SAME SIZE AS THE MOTO 1600 Mah Extended battery. LOOK: http://www.seidioonline.com/index.as...ROD&ProdID=470
Be careful if you have a BLACK Moto Q. The Seidio store is the only source I know of that stocks a rubberized BLACK battery cover that comes with all of their batteries, but when I ordered from other sources online the door came in Silver and had to be sent back. Verizon only sells the Moto 1600 Extended battery which costs the same as the Seidio 3200. Sprint does sell the 2100 battery, so Kudos to them. In terms of cost, you're just trading sales tax for shipping cost. If they had the 3200 battery, I'd have bought it from them, but alas they don't - and 2100 Mah just is not enough power for my needs. But I have two PDAs and use extended batteries on both of them. One of my Dell Axims has a battery bump--but the other doesnt because it's mounted in my car and needs a flat back to be mountable --where I can (1) use it as my GPS system, and (2) bluetooth it to my Moto Q and get the BIG view for some websites and documents I have to work on - all without taking out the laptop.
