Default Sena Case Problem

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased this case from Sena Cases http://www.senacases.com for $49.99 this is my 3rd Case from them over the last 5 years and the first that I have had any problems with. It is very snug and appears to have been designed for the 1st Generation (Silver Verizon) Motorola Q. However, I had a hard time installing it on my new Black Verizon Q (Rubberized Texture) here is the best part, I cannot get it off without destroying the case! .. I have sent an email to Sena's support site and I will update you all on what they say. I wish they would have made mention on their website that this does not fit the new Motorola Q's correctly IE; Verizon Black, Sprint & Alltel .. All of which have the new texture. What a bummer!

I forgot to mention, the case is awesome! .. Aside from the over-snug fit!

Update for Case #620 - "Motorola Q Flip Case Problem"

Jason, Customers who have applied the case and used it for a short time have reported that the heat of the device has softened the leather enough to allow the case to be easily aopplied and removed, when we apply and remove the textured case here in the office I have used the corners of t he case pushing upwards with two thumbs and the case have easily come off of the device without damage to either the device or the case. We have applied and removed the case to clean the screen of the case after pocket lent etc has become lodged under the screen protector.

I had purchased 2 of the sena cases, one of the flip ones and a regular one. I returned the flip one because I was not happy with it when it was closed. But I did find an easy way to get them on and off, since I have a sprint Q. To initially put them on, it was easier to slide the top of the phone up through the middle and then work the bottom in, kinda like with a silicone cover. Now to get them off that was a little more tricky. If you use something like a letter opener or for me it was a swingline staple remover, a long flat metal but not sharp object, you can slide it in at the bottom of the phone and actually push up the phone out of the case. It took some time and patience but I have removed it a couple times and no damage to either the case or the phone. Hope that helps a little bit.

Its too late now, but put leather over steam and it will stretch. Thats how you get wrinkles out too.

The case is very thin and adds very little thickness to the Q. That is the standard case not the flip case. The flip front adds to the thickness more than 5 mm.

Default Once its on, it's on

I have to agree with the posts. I recently bought the Sena case (not the flip cover version), and tried to put it on my Q from Sprint. I had a VERY hard time getting this thing on.

I lightly wiped the Q with a pre-moistened lens cleaning tissue and that seemed to help lubricate the surface to slide the Q into the case a little easier.

BUT.....

You cannot remove the Q from the case once its in. I mean forget it.

This is the most snug fit I've ever seen on a cell phone. It has a great look and a nice feel once on. But, if you're a user who frequently changes batteries or uses a dock - forget this case. WAAAYYYY too much hassle trying to get this case on and off your phone.

I'm going to use it for awhile to see if the leather stretches a little through heat and general use, but I have a hard time recommending this case to somebody unless you're a "set it and forget it" person.
